Park County Sheriff's Department

The Park County Sheriff’s Office has openings for Detention Deputies, A pre-employment physical and psychological tests are required. Benefits include shift differential, Paid Time Off (PTO), holiday pay, medical and life insurance, and contribution to the state of Wyoming Retirement System. Uniforms are also provided.

The Detention Deputy requires a 12-hour work schedule with rotating shifts that are mandatory and subject to change. Applicants must meet the following requirements: must pass Certification requirements by the Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission for Detention Officer Basic, be a United States Citizen at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license, must maintain a level of physical fitness to meet Department standards. Starting salary is $57,324 up to $67,225 a year, depending on experience.

Park County Planning & Zoning

Small Wastewater Administrator/Planning Technician

The Park County Planning and Zoning Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Small Wastewater Administrator/Planning Technician in the Cody office. The position performs a variety of duties in support of County regulations and the Department with a primary focus on processing small wastewater system applications, enforcing violations of the County’s development regulations, and completing general planning tasks. This is not an entry-level position; directly applicable or closely relatable experience is required. The position requires travel around the County and field work to conduct inspections. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience with administering, inspecting, and/or installing small wastewater systems is highly preferred. Land records research and/or GIS experience are preferred.

Work Assignment: Planning and Zoning Department, 1002 Sheridan Ave., Suite 109, Cody, Wyoming

Compensation: Wage range is $22.29 – $30.83 per hour (dependent upon qualifications & experience) + benefits; benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance, a generous retirement plan (Wyoming Retirement System), paid time off and holidays.

Work hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a one-hour break, Monday through Friday.
