Park County was established in 1909, and is home to a majority of Yellowstone National Park. According to the US Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 6,967 square miles. As of the 2020 United States Census, there were 29,624 people, and 12,160 households in the county. The population density was 4.1 inhabitants per square mile.

Park County Frannie Land Parcel Auction
Park County is offering for sale, to the highest bidder, two separate parcels of real property
in the Frannie, Wyoming Area. PARCEL 1 is identified as PARCEL I.D. NUMBER
34589802401001 AND PARCEL 2 is identified as PARCEL I.D. NUMBER
29589803611002 on the Park County Map Server site (https://parkcounty-wy.gov/online-services).
Sealed bids will be accepted until Monday, June 15Th
at 5:00 P.M. Sealed bids should be marked as “Park County Surplus Property-
Frannie Parcel 1” or “Park County Surplus Property- Frannie Parcel 2” and
mailed to or hand delivered to the Park County Clerk’s Office at 1002 Sheridan
Avenue, Cody, Wyoming 82414. Sealed bids will be opened in a regular public
meeting of the Park County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, June 16,
2026. A minimum bid has been established, and Park County reserves the
right to accept or reject any and all offers.

Where can I contest my property taxes?
Appeals to the County Board of Equalization may be made within 30 days after the assessment schedules are mailed. Pick up an application during that time frame in the Assessor’s Office or the County Commissioners’ office which are located at the Park County Courthouse in Cody.
How do I get license plates?
1. Do your title work at the County Clerk’s Office.
2. Pay the sales tax at the County Treasurer’s office. Pick up your license plates and registration.
3. Bring your receipt to the County Clerk’s office and pick up your title.
