Liquor Licenses

Please contact the County Clerk for information about liquor licensing options in Park County.

New License:

  • Application can be obtained from the County Clerk
  • Application must be signed and notarized
  • All appropriate documents must be attached

License Renewal:

  • Applications must be submitted to the County Clerk
  • Signatures must be notarized
  • Application must have appropriate documents attached, i.e. invoices

Marriage Licenses

Marriage Licenses are obtained in person at the County Clerk’s Office. The application for a Wyoming marriage license falls under Wyoming Statutes §20-1-101 through §20-1-113.

Legal Age:

Applicants must be at least eighteen years of age to apply for a marriage license without court and parental consent. Marriages involving a person who is 16 or 17 are prohibited and voidable unless a judge of a Wyoming court approves the marriage and authorizes the County Clerk to issue a license and the clerk’s office obtains authorization by a guardian in writing.  Effective 2023, no person under 16 may marry in Wyoming.

Associated Fee:

  • $30.00 in cash, check, or debit / credit card payable to the Park County Clerk.

Other Information:

  • This license is only valid in the State of Wyoming.
  • There is no waiting period in Wyoming.
  • Blood Tests are not required in Wyoming.
  • The application expires one year from date of issuance if not used.
  • A special use permit is required for ceremonies performed in Yellowstone National park.

Who may perform a marriage in Wyoming?

(W.S. §20-1-106)

Who may solemnize marriage; form of ceremony.

(a) Every district or circuit court judge, district court commissioner, supreme court justice, magistrate and every licensed or ordained minister of the gospel, bishop, priest or rabbi, or other qualified person acting in accordance with the traditions or rites for the solemnization of marriage of any religion, denomination, or religious society, may perform the ceremony of marriage in this state.

(b) In the solemnization of marriage no particular form is required, except that the parties shall solemnly declare in the presence of the person performing the ceremony and at least two (2) attending witnesses that they take each other as husband and wife.

 

The Park County Clerk’s office does not arrange for an official to perform the ceremony. Following is a list of individuals who are qualified to perform marriage ceremonies and have offered their names and contact information. Each official sets his/her own fee and schedule.

* Individuals marked with an asterisk may consider performing ceremonies outside of their home towns. This may include areas in Yellowstone National Park, if schedules and circumstances allow.

Certificate of Title:

Document Showing Proof of ownership of an automobile, multipurpose vehicle, motor home, trailer, scooter, etc. If you are moving in from another state, or purchased a vehicle USED from out of state, you will be required to obtain a VIN inspection before the Clerk’s office is able to transfer an out of state title into a Wyoming title. In Wyoming, VIN Inspections are performed by any law enforcement personnel with a badge, or dispatcher. The County Clerk will accept VIN inspections performed in another state, but how to acquire the VIN inspection may differ from state to state. VIN/HIN Inspection and other applicable forms are located ABOVE.
